FAQs

How does therapy work?

I provide a safe space to address challenges and build skills through structured conversations and evidence-based techniques. We identify patterns, develop coping strategies, and focus on practical solutions. It’s a collaborative process driven by your needs. Sessions provide actionable insights for daily life. My approach is direct and designed for results.

What is the therapy process like?

We’ll begin with an initial consultation to discuss your goals and concerns, establishing a clear foundation. Sessions are collaborative, focusing on exploring your thoughts and emotions in a supportive environment. We'll work together on practical strategies to foster positive change. Progress is reviewed regularly to ensure we're on the right track.

How long will it take for me to feel better?

The timeline depends on your unique goals, but many clients notice improvements within a few sessions. We’ll set clear goals to track progress together. Consistency and engagement can accelerate results, often within weeks or months. Each person’s journey is different, but I’m committed to supporting measurable progress. We’ll work to achieve your goals efficiently.

What kind of therapy do you practice?

I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to your needs. My approach integrates multiple techniques for maximum impact. The focus is on practical tools for lasting change. Clients value the clear, solution-focused methods. We’ll work on equipping you with effective strategies.

How regularly will we meet?

I recommend weekly sessions for steady progress. Research has shown that regular sessions help maintain momentum. We’ll adjust as needed to support your progress, and create a plan that suits your circumstances.

Do we meet in person or virtual?

I offer virtual sessions through a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy service. I aim to make therapy accessible and effective.

Do you take insurance?

I don’t accept insurance directly but provide a superbill for you to submit for potential reimbursement. This approach keeps my services flexible and client-focused. The process is straightforward, and I’ll assist with paperwork as needed. Many clients find it manageable. I aim to make accessing care simple.

Do you prescribe medication?

As a counselor, I don’t prescribe medication but can coordinate with your doctor or refer you to a psychiatrist if necessary. My focus is on therapy techniques that build skills and resilience. Many clients see strong results through therapy alone. I prioritize non-medication approaches, though we’ll explore the best options for your needs.

What are your fees?

My fee is $225 for a 45-minute session, ensuring high-quality, focused care. Pricing is transparent, and payment is due at the time of service via credit card or other methods. I’m open to discussing any questions about costs upfront, and offer limited sliding scale fees based on financial need.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid the full session fee, ensuring availability for others. I understand emergencies and am flexible when they arise. I offer reschedules as available. This helps my practice to run smoothly.
